About this project

Cast Stone International was commissioned to work alongside construction group Anderson Moore Construction. This project consisted of a renovation project. As this property is situated ocean front, it is exposed to harsh elements such as salt, and any steel will corrode.

Our goal was to remove all columns as steel was rusting and corroding which in result decomposed the previous cast stone. In removing the cast stone, we found the steel beam supports were taking damage from the salt. Cast Stone Specialist have grinded and polished the beam supports, applied an oil base primer to restore them back to new condition.

Cast Stone International replicated the same design of pre-cast columns and installed new ones with newer strengthening technology such as fiber-rebars and fiber mesh which is rust-proof.

Cast stone architectural components

Cast Stone International used 8 architectural cast stone temple of the wind design columns. Dimensions of columns are 12”-10” tapered in an Italian sandstone buff finish with a handmade coral stone texture.
